In Loving Memory of Timothy Allen Taylor
April 10, 1948 – September 22, 2025
We celebrate the life of Timothy Allen Taylor, age 77, who passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025, at The Service League of Greenville Hospice House
Timmy was born on April 10, 1948, in Kinston, North Carolina, to Raymond and Christine Taylor. He grew up in Duplin County with his three siblings- Donald, Kenny, and Betty Jean. After graduating from East Duplin High School, he was drafted into the United States Army where he served his country with courage and honor during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1971.
After returning home, Timmy worked a variety of jobs, never afraid to roll up his sleeves and take on whatever work came his way to provide for his family. He retired at age 71 and spent his later years enjoying the simple pleasures of life — gardening, fishing, hunting, and being with the people he loved. One of his favorite pastimes was listening to the hunting dogs run, a joy that brought him peace and connection to the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Christine Taylor; wife and mother of his children, Marlene Stutts Taylor; wife, Vicky Best Taylor; and his son, Timothy Allen Taylor Jr.
He is survived by daughter, Michelle Taylor Haddock; son, Brandon Weaver; grandchildren, Lindzy, Kristen, Chris (Liz), Nick (Alana), and Evan; as well as great-grandchildren Lily, Gideon, Charley, Madilyn, Chloe, Blaiden, Reece, and Wren.
Timmy was also blessed with many friends and cousins that were life long friends. His circle was big, he was loved and respected by many. He knew how blessed he was to have such great friendships that lasted throughout his lifetime. He spoke of them often with great fondness in his story telling and reflecting.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Pink Hill Funeral Home, with funeral service at 3:00 p.m. and burial to follow at oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill.
