Shirley Wilkins Herring

Shirley Wilkins Herring, 82, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025 at ECU Health Duplin Hospital.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Allen Herring; parents Luther and Lola Wilkins; siblings, Paul Wilkins, Clara Mae Barwick, John Wilkins, Leamon Wilkins, Lola Nan Murphy, Arch Wilkins and Patsy Kelly.

Shirley is survived by her children, Bobbie Smith (John), Terry Herring (Sheila), Elsie Thigpen (Ricky) and Tim Herring (Amy); sister, Shelby Jean Herring; grandchildren, Alexis Smith, Milton Herring (Jessica), Nick Herring (Hannah), Brooke Thigpen, Morgan Herring (Anna), Makelle Herring, Maygan Herring (Ross); great-grandchildren, Mallory Herring, Madison Herring, Brailynn Herring, Tristan Herring, Owen Herring, Grayson Russ and Lainey Russ.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at Pink Hill Funeral Home.  Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2025 with burial to follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill

The family will receive friends at other times at the home of Terry and Sheila Herring, 328 Alum Springs Road, Mount Olive.
