Sara Joe (McCracken) Tuepker

Sara Tuepker, 81, died on Monday, September 15, 2025, at Wilmington Life Care Center. She was a resident of Chinquapin, NC and originally from Conway, SC.  Sara was a cancer survivor (2006), enjoyed traveling and was dedicated to feeding people.  Don’t ask Sara a question if you did not want the truth, she was known for telling you like it is.  She loved her Baby and loved serving the Lord.   Sara was a daughter, mother, grandmother and aunt.

Sara was preceded in death by her parents, Albert McCracken and Marie Beatty McCracken; sisters, Alma Brown and husband Rudie of Dillon, SC, Mary Frances Faircloth of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandson, Michael Keith Johnson of Chinquapin, NC; granddaughter, Amanda Colette Doyle of Houma, LA; and stepson, Gary Wayne Doyle of Fayetteville, NC.

Sara is survived by her daughters, Laura Phillips Johnson and husband Fletcher Keith Johnson of Chinquapin, NC, , Tina Phillips Gainey of Georgetown, SC; son, Billy Ray Doyle of Kerens, TX; stepchildren, Linda Doyle Lockamy of Fayetteville, NC, Rae Doyle Wiggins of Selma, NC; and Laura Sue Doyle of Fayetteville, NC and brother-in-law, Jessie M. Faircloth; grandchildren, Jason Johnson of Virginia, Cody Phillips of SC and Matthew Doyle of KY; 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 

In honor of Sara’s love for Christmas, we ask that everyone wear something Christmas – tie, socks, clothing etc., and come with your best Christmas story.

Visitation will be held from 11-11:45 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Pink Hill Funeral Home.  Funeral service will begin at 12 noon on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Pink Hill Funeral Home with entombment following at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill, NC.
