Rufus Jefferson Snyder, 87, of Trenton passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Piety Raye “Nanny” Snyder and sons, Jimmy Ray Snyder and Donald Gene Snyder.

Rufus was a retired Veteran who proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps.

He is survived by his  sons;  Harold Lee Snyder & special friend Donna Kornegay Stilley of Mt. Olive, NC and James Robert (Bobby) Snyder & wife Loretta of New Bern, NC; daughters, Carol Snyder Davidson & husband Jimmy of Trenton, NC,  Susan Snyder Gray & husband Charlie of Trenton, NC,  Mary Snyder Rand & husband Tony of Verona, VA; 15 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Holy Innocents Episcopal Church Cemetery.
