Roy went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, November 7, 2021.

Roy was preceded in death by his father, Cleve and mother, Malissa Perry and brother, Eddie Perry.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Kay Stroud Perry of Deep Run, NC; his son, Jason and wife Eileen Perry of Deep Run; granddaughter, Jaiden Perry and boyfriend Nathan of Kinston; grandchildren, Caleena Kozee and Shiloh Nandallal of Deep Run, Christian and wife Mercedes of Jacksonville, NC, Hillary and husband Christian Burton of Deep Run and a special great-grandson, Ayden and all of his many family and friends.

Roy served his country in the Army National Guard for 38 years.  He cherished all the relationships he made in the service.  He loved Chevelles, Tar Heel basketball, football, and Nascar almost as good as he loved his pipe.  He was a great husband, Daddy, “Pop”, Poppy, and Grandpa.  He loved all of his family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Pink Hill Funeral Home with a Memorial Service to follow beginning at 7:00 p.m.
