Robert Paul Weber, 73, passed away on November 30, 2023, in Kinston, North Carolina. He was born on August 29, 1950, in Lenior County, North Carolina and was raised in the Jonestown community of Pink Hill, NC. Paul was a beloved father and grandfather, brother and friend.
Paul is survived by his son, Robert Paul Weber, Jr. (Gwyn) of Rocky Mount, NC; his daughter, Bobi Jo Huneycutt of Emerald Isle, NC; and his son Robert Byron Weber (Nikki) of Ayden, NC. Paul had six grandchildren: Bryant Weber, Jenna Weber, Raegan Weber, Jackson Huneycutt, Summer Weber and Ryder Weber. Paul is also survived by his lifelong love and mother of his children, Mary R. Cannady of Rocky Mount, NC and a brother, Luther James (Bud) Whaley, Jr. of Richlands, NC.
Paul was preceded in death by his mother, Lyda H. Whaley; his father, James Luther Whaley, Sr.; his brother, Lawrence H. Weber, III; and his sister Linda Lou Whaley Lanier.
Paul attended high school in Lenior County and later pursued higher education at Mt. Olive College. He was an active member of Christian Chapel FWB Church, where he worshipped and served throughout his life.
In his free time, Paul enjoyed both bowling and golfing. He had a passion for both sports and found joy in spending time with friends on the lanes or the golf course. Paul was an active member of his local bowling league for years and enjoyed the fellowship and competition.
The immediate family will hold a private celebration of life in honor of their father and grandfather. Please honor his memory by saying a prayer to help the family in this time of loss.
