Rachel Frances Blizzard

Rachel Frances Blizzard, 93, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025, at Riverpoint Crest in New Bern.  She was a lifelong member of Christian Chapel Original Free Will Baptist Church in Pink Hill. Although she had no children of her own, she was a very special Aunt Rachel to countless nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Rachel was preceded in death by her parents, W.S. and Lou Blizzard; brothers, Coy, Roy, Melvin, Robert, Henry and Jesse Blizzard, Charlie Brown; and sister, Julia Mills.

Rachel is survived by her much-loved nieces and nephews, Jerrie Barwick, Judy Maddry, Linda Register, Sandy Blizzard, Randy Blizzard, Chris Blizzard, Clifton Brown, Ann Jones, Sue Tyndall, Donna Tyndall, Karen Grubbs and their families; and a sister-in-law, Frances Blizzard.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Pink Hill Funeral Home; funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m.  Burial will follow at the Brady Howard Cemetery in Pink Hill.
