Phil Outlaw, 78, of Kinston, passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Vidant Medical in Greenville surrounded by his loving family.
Phil was the owner of Kinston Home Improvement for 39 years; a member of the Kinston Jaycees and on the Board of the Lenoir County Fair Association and was well-known for running the Demolition Derby. He also enjoyed working in his garden.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bodell and Hazel Outlaw. Phil is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joan Smith Outlaw of the home; daughters, Celeste Outlaw Fussell of Deep Run; Phyliss Outlaw of Kinston; brother, Wendell Outlaw of Kinston; sisters, Charlotte Dupree of Albertson and Rachel Thompson (A.C.) of Kinston; his grandboys, who he was very proud of, John-Mark Fussell (Ali) of Albertson, Garrett Fussell (Sydney) of Rocky Mount, Sloane Fussell of Germantown, MD, and Paxtton Outlaw of Kinston; great-grandchildren, Ariel, Luna and Cannon Fussell.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Pink Hill Funeral Home Chapel with visitation following the service.
