Nerry Temple Wall, Sr

Nerry Temple Wall Sr., of Pink Hill, North Carolina was born January 16, 1941, and went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 6, 2024.

He was the son of the late Thurman C. Wall Sr. and Letha Ann Wall.

Remaining to cherish his memory, is the woman he loved and with whom he shared his later years, Cynthia Smith; her family, who he also loved, and who loved and cared for him, Deborah Tyndall and husband (Frank), Dawn Raynor and husband (Jammie), their children and grandchildren.

He is also survived by a sister, Nancy Evans Radford and husband (Shelton), children, Cynthia Lynn Wall (Cindy) and husband (Felix), Amanda Jeanne Carmon (Mandy) and husband (Mike), son Nerry Temple Wall Jr. (Timmy) and wife (Kelli), 9 Grandchildren, 11 Great-Grandchildren, and many nieces nephews. He will also be missed by his canine companion Bubba.

He was preceded in death by his brother Thurman C. Wall Jr. and wife (Grace), his sister Faye Johnson and husband (Edgar), brother-in-law Willie Evans, niece Vera Wright, and a great-grandson Kaleb Lee Bayne.

Nerry was a retired telephone installer-repairer from Carolina Telephone & Telegraph (37 years). He was a licensed minister at Pleasant Plains Church and Christian Chapel Church. He was the pastor of Long Ridge Church for one year, Chairman of Deacons at a church in Beulaville, a Sunday School teacher and Deacon at Christian Chapel Church. He was also a member of the Lion’s Club, and a former town of Pink Hill Commissioner. At one time he attended Mount Olive College.

 He was a life-long Soldier for Jesus and shared the Gospel any time he was given the opportunity. During his retirement years, he enjoyed camping with his chosen family, visiting others, and doing anything he could for the congregation of Christian Chapel, his neighbors, the community, and anyone he knew that needed help.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at Christian Chapel Church from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.  Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at Christian Chapel Church with burial to follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
