Nelson Earl Griffin

Nelson Earl Griffin, 63, of Deep Run, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026 at his home.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Shirley Griffin,

Nelson is survived by his brothers, Glen Griffin and wife Wendy; Jeff Griffin and wife Sherry; sister, Susie Griffin Bridgeman and husband Charlie.   He is also survived by a special aunt Rose “Red Top” Parker and husband Vance; and special cousin, Sula Ridings.  Nelson leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Traci Griffin Pollock (Dustin), Jessica Griffin Nicholson, Bradford Bridgeman (Shannon), Tyler Griffin and Chris Griffin.

Nelson had a great sense of humor and enjoyed joking around.  He was a truck driver and he also loved traveling.  He was mechanically inclined and enjoyed tinkering on small engines.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Deep Run Original Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Joe Ard officiating.  The family will visit with friends after the service.
