Milton Burle “Runt” Hill, Sr., 78, of Pink Hill, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at his home. 

Runt is survived by his wife of 58 years, Kathryn Sue Byrd Hill; son, Milton B. Hill Jr. and wife Stacy Smith Hill; daughter, Susan Hill Sandlin and husband Jimmy B. Sandlin; grandson, Milton Christopher Hill and wife Diana Raymond Hill; granddaughter, Taylor Sandlin Hawkins and husband Edward Murrill Hawkins; grandson, Daniel Logan Hill and fiancée Taylor Marie Rhodes; granddaughter, Riley Morgan Sandlin and (husband coming soon…); great grandson, Grayson James Hawkins; favorite neighbor and caretaker, Melissa Byrd and husband Mark Damon Byrd; and brother, Kenneth Murle "Tootie" Hill and wife Joyce  Hill;and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Earl Hill and wife Doris; mother, Katie Wells Hill; brothers, Edward Earl Hill and Lynwood Kurle Hill; sister , Nancy Pearl Hill Byrd and husband Clarence Roland Byrd (brother-in-law); nephew, Johnny Elwood Byrd.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at the Byrd Family Cemetery, Hwy 11, Pink Hill, NC.
