Mildred Louise Jones
Kinston
Mildred Louise Jones was born in Lenoir County on July 23, 1938 to Sudie Stanley Brown Howard and Durwood Tyndall. Louise as she was known to everyone was the wife of Remus Jones. Louise was one of the strongest and sweetest ladies you would ever meet. She was always there to care for so many. She was a mama, a grandma, and a mema to them all. She would always bring comfort to us in our darkest hours. She loved to talk and she never met a stranger. She loved to take a ride around the block in the neighborhood and sing. She was our greatest blessing and will be missed dearly. We would first like to thank our Heavenly Father for blessing us with a wonderful Mother, the staff at UNC Lenoir Healthcare, Dr. Gallagher, Continuum Hospice Care, and her caretakers, Olivia Brown and Samantha Grant.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Remus Jones; son, Wesley Jones; special brother and sister-in-law, Durwood Elwood and Maxine Tyndall.
Louise is survived by her son, William Jones, daughter, Susan Baysden, daughter-in-law, Wanda Jones, who was her other daughter and caretaker; 6 grandchildren, Kenny Jones, T.J. Jones, Nicky Jones and Trey Baysden and wife Sara; Taylor Clark and husband Josh, and Ashley Pate; 8 great-grandchildren, Thomas Hargett, Christian Bostic, Alexis Jones, Devin Jones, Nova Jones, Braxton and Brinleigh Clark and Aria Baysden due in March; sisters, Alice Daughtey, Faye Batchelor and Ann Wisener; and sister-in-law, Louise Brown and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at the Howard Cemetery, Emmett Drive, Kinston.
