Mary Catherine (Davis) Sanderson

Mary Catherine Davis Sanderson, 90, of Pink Hill, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at her daughter’s home.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Nuley “Speck” Sanderson and son, Darryl Sanderson.

Catherine is survived by her daughter, Nulette Potter and husband Dannie; grandchildren, Chandler Sanderson and wife Leah, Reagan Potter and wife Carree, Zachary Potter, and Sarah McCullen and husband Adam; great-grandchildren, Edison Potter and Mollie McCullen; and sister, Sue Grady.

Affectionately known as Grandma Catherine, Aunt Catherine, and Mama, she was beloved, and loved her family with all her heart.  Her “babies” were her crown jewels.  She selflessly cared for her family and put their needs first. She loved all of God’s creatures, and she especially loved flowers. We are forever grateful for her love, example, and dedication to her Savior Jesus Christ. Oh how beautiful is the knowledge that families are forever.

Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Woodington Ward.  Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m., after the visitation.  Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill.
