Marjorie H. Lunson, 95, of Pink Hill passed away on Monday, January 8, 2018. She attended Pink Hill and Deep Run Schools until moving to Washington DC where she worked for Union Local 118. She attended Boyds Business School and Strayers Business College and worked as an eligibility reviewer with Local 118 and Local 2 for 35 years.
Marjorie was a member of the Woodington Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She sang in the choir for years and served in the Relief Society organization as a teacher.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Lona Sanderson; first husband Edward Howard and second husband John Lunson; daughter Carol Ann Howard; grandson Eddie Howard; granddaughter Sharon Milliken; brothers Jessie, Herman, Linwood, and Eric Sanderson; and sister Verna Sanderson Burkhead.
Marjorie is survived by her daughters, Janice M. Hall, Elaine Howard (Sammie), Kathy Beckett (Ed), Barbara Peterson, and Peggy Starr (Lowell); sons, William M. Howard and John C. Lunson (Toni); brother Junior Sanderson (Gayle); sisters, Mary Lee Whaley (Wendy), Reba Watkins (Frank Wagoner), Lona Miller (Gene); 23 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great- grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Pink Hill Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Pink Hill Funeral Home with entombment following at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill,
