Lynwood James Heath, 79, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2025, peacefully at home.  He was born May 28, 1946, to the late Ransom and Aleene Heath of Pink Hill NC.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Shane Heath of Kinston, NC.

Lynwood is survived by his wife, Misti Cantu; son, Anthony Heath; brothers, Charles Heath (Brenda), Arland Heath (Carolyn); sister, Alice Price (Tim); three grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lynwood was a Disabled Vietnam Veteran, who was severely injured, almost losing his life during his tenure with The United States Army.  He was a recipient of the prestigious Purple Heart Decoration.

Lynwood was a soul with a very tender heart, a giving Spirit, -giving often at his own sacrifice.    He was most proud of his family and a was a man of many gifts – being able to quote the alphabet backwards.  He was loved by his many friends.

Graveside Service will be held at 2pm, Tuesday June 10, 2025 at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro NC.
