Louis Earl White

Louis Earl White, 86, passed peacefully on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at his residence in Goldsboro, NC. Formerly of Kinston, NC, Louis was born on July 25, 1936 to the late Asa and Sallie White. Louis loved spending time with his family, especially his “Angel” and “Sugar Baby” Betty White, and enjoyed fishing with his sons and grandchildren. Louis loved his country, retiring from the U.S. Navy, and was a lifelong mechanic. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Betty White; their three sons, Louis E. White, Jr. (fiancé Tina), of LaGrange, NC; Noah E. White (wife Robyn) of LaGrange, NC; and Adam R. White (wife Crystal) of Clinton, NC; brother John White, Sr. (wife Essie); and sister Catherine Wetherington.

Louis adored his grandkids Joseph White (fiancé Kristie); Tara Stocks; Kim Jordan; Tabytha Poling; Brandon White; Miles Bizzell; Marissa Bizzell; Joseph Grady (and great-grandson Hudson); Daniel White; Callie White; and Lilyanne White. In addition to his parents, Louis was preceded in death by his son William Bryant White; brothers William Burdette White, Jesse White, Sr., Lonnie White, Dalton White; and sister Nancy Geneva Rouse. He was known as “Uncle Louis” to many special nieces and nephews and was particularly partial to his toy poodle “Prissy.” The family would like to thank Contrina Faison for her kindness and care the last few months of Louis’s life.

Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Pink Hill Funeral Home with funeral service following at 7:00 p.m.  Interment will be held at 1100 a.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you thank a veteran of the U.S. Armed Services and consider treating them to a meal or a coffee.
