Elder Larry Donnell Newberne was born to the late Charlie and Grace G. Newberne. He attended public school in Duplin County where he graduated from East Duplin High School. He later attended Wayne County Community College in Goldsboro. In 1985 the Lord called him into the minister where he became an ordained Elder preaching and servicing the Lord.
Elder Newberne is survived by his loving wife Brenda M. Newbere, one son Anthony Donnell Newberne of Lake Placid, FL, one sister Moselle Newberne of Tulsy, OK, a brother Teamous (Barbara) Newberne of Corozal, Belize, a special brother Jay (Pat) Mitchell of Augusta, GA, two granddaughters Taionna and Zeriyona Newberne, one aunt Louise (Berry) Jones of Kinston, two special people Mildred Green and Alice Outlaw of Pink Hill and a host of other family and friends.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
