Julia Grace (Mills) Thigpen

Julia Grace Mills Thigpen, 87, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Thigpen and her parents, Delbert and Viola Mills.

Grace is survived by her sons, Rickey Thigpen and wife Elsie; Keith Thigpen and wife Beverly; and Johnny Thigpen and wife Tracy; grandchildren, Nicholas Herring and wife Hannah, Brooke Thigpen, Jessica Thigpen and husband Jonathan and Austin Thigpen and wife Sara; great grandchildren, Jordan Thigpen, Jace Thigpen, Tristan Herring, and Brailynn Herring.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pink Hill United Methodist Church, c/o Carolyn Whitfield, 313 N. Central Ave., Pink Hill, NC, 28572.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 22, 2025 at Pink Hill Funeral Home with burial following at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill.
