Joseph Gerlene (Holmes) Kennedy

Gerlene Holmes Kennedy, of Pink Hill, entered her Heavenly home on Wednesday, November 18, 2020.  She was born J. Gerlene Holmes on March 24, 1942 in Duplin County.  Gerlene was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Warren Kennedy; her parents, Carson & Bertha Holmes; her sisters, Marie Holmes & Gloria Griffin; and her brothers, Ray Holmes & Jackie Holmes.

Gerlene is survived by her sons; Freddie Kennedy & wife Pat of Kinston; Warren Kennedy & wife Sheila of Castle Hayne; Bobby Kennedy & wife Nikki of Magnolia; and Scott Kennedy & wife Melissa of Beulaville.  Additionally, she is survived by 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Gloden Grove Cemetery in Kenansville, NC.
