Joseph Franklin Alphin, 57, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at New Hanover Regional Hospital in Wilmington. Joe worked at Guilford East for almost 40 years. He was a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, Kenansville Camp.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Ben Frank and Louise Potter. He is survived by his wife, Candy Mervin Alphin; step-son, Bradley Pike (Jori); sister, Nancy Haney and her son Michael Haney (Samantha); mother-in-law, Bessie Mervin; sisters-in-law, Patricia Galetschky (Derek), Rhonda Wilcox (D.F.), Denise Smith (Dearld), brother-in-law, Archie Mervin, 4 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews and special friends, Linda and Joe Hewett.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 -3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at Pink Hill Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 3:00. Burial will follow the service at Potter Cemetery in Albertson.
