James David Short, 80, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022, at Vidant Duplin Hospital in Kenansville.

A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill.

James is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Short; son, David Short (Sherry); daughters, Mary Kay Myers (Gerald) and Melissa Riley (Tony); brothers, Tommy Short (Jeanne), Bobby Short (Mary), Kenny Short (Jo Ann); sisters Mary Elizabeth James and Emma Short-Ripps (George); grandchildren, Jennifer, Austin, Michael, Nikita, David Jr., and James; great grandchildren, Kaylynn, Rylan, Zoey, Allie and Michael Jr.
