Henry West Kornegay

Henry West Kornegay, 85, passed away on Wednesday, July 10 at ECU Health Duplin Hospital in Kenansville.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Dollie Kornegay; brothers, John William Kornegay, Leon Edward Kornegay, Albert Kornegay, and Rajah Grady; sisters, Carolyn Johnson and Doris Kornegay.

West was known in this area for raising vegetables and umpiring softball games.

He is survived by nieces and nephews, Claudine, Keith, Paula, Robin, David and Tim and his landlord and friend, Tommy Stroud and wife Cheryl.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill.
