Hazel Heath Moody, 80, of Deep Run, NC, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2024, after a brief illness. Born on November 15, 1943, Hazel was the daughter of the late Lilly Bell Sanderson and Walter Heath.

Hazel was preceded in death by her husbands, Louis Ray Daniels, Michael Rouse, and Vernon "Claro" Moody. She was also preceded in death by her siblings Walter Clayton Heath, Mary Helen Williford, Brenda Carol Jernigan, and Edward Heath, as well as her step-son Jeff Moody and granddaughter Charity Grimes.

She is survived by her children Roger (Tosca), Eddie "Dowell," and Michelle (Daryl); two step-daughters, Verna and Beverly; and two siblings, Danny and Betty Lou. Hazel leaves behind several grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will cherish her memory.

Hazel spent many years working at the Kinston Shirt Factory. She was a devoted friend and family member, known for her love of cooking and spending time with those she held dear. Her warm spirit and generous heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at Pink Hill Funeral Home.  Funeral Service will follow at 11.  Burial will be held at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill.
