Gary Kendall Hudson        June 27, 1959~September 5, 2025

Gary Hudson, 66, of Pink Hill, NC, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 5, 2025, in Rose Hill, NC.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Doris Dail Hudson Swinson, Robert Lee Hudson; stepmother, Myrna Hudson Rogers; maternal grandparents, Marvin and Sallie Dail; paternal grandparents, John Hudson and Louphelia Bordeaux Hudson Sugg; and half-sister, Tanya Hudson.

Gary worked at Nash Johnson in Rose Hill for 23 years.  He was a hard worker and a kind-hearted man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.  He never met a stranger, and he really loved to talk to anyone and everyone!

Gary is survived by his step-father, Ralph Swinson, China Grove; brother, Robert L. Hudson, Pink Hill; sisters, Benita Hudson Chandler (David), Vanceboro; Anita Hudson Conner (Rudy Grenz), Kinston; half-brother, Robert Lee Hudson, Jr. (Jo Ellen), Ayden; nieces, Pamela Hudson (Phillip Howard), Pink Hill: Chelsi Cole (Britton), Cary; Kayla Rauhe (Bryce), Vanceboro; nephews, Thomas Chandler (Kay), Clarksville, TN; Hudson Conner, Kinston; several great-nieces and nephews; and also several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Pink Hill Funeral Home; and the funeral services will follow at 12 noon.  A private burial will be held at the Jane Dail Cemetery in Mount Olive following the funeral.
