Floyd Lee Thompson Sr., 78, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at the N.C. Veterans Home in Kinston. He was an electrician and served in the United States Army. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Jasper and Virginia Thompson: son, Rusty Thompson; sister Jean Eley and granddaughter, Amber Olive
Floyd is survived by his wife of 20 years, Linda Thompson; son, Floyd Lee Thompson Jr.; daughter, Sheila Tortino; step-son, Ford Davis; and step-daughters, Tammy Smith and husband Glenn; and Tina Dudley and special friend, Chris Hetzel; brothers, Dennis Thompson, Jasper Thompson and wife Miranda, and Charles Thompson; sisters, Jeraldine Hill, Effie St. Onge, and Millie Griffin and husband Eddie; many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Pink Hill Funeral Home followed by a Graveside Service at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill.
