Fannie Lee “Pat” Sanders, 95, of Pink Hill, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Vidant Duplin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Fannie Davenport Whaley; husband, Mack L. Sanders; sisters, Daisy Whaley Heath, Sudie Whaley Mills; brothers, Fred and Grover Whaley; daughter-in-law, Gloria White Schimmel; granddaughter, Malena Schimmel; grandson, Charles Ray Parrott, Jr. and step-son, Allen Sanders.

Pat is survived by her son, Charles Schimmel; step-daughter, Fran Speight; step-son, Michael Sanders (Brenda); grandson, David Shelton Parrott (Irene); granddaughter, Jean Parrott Coble (Mitchell); numerous great-grandchildren and special nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by her special friends, Miss Fen Pierce and William Pierce and extra special nurses, Christy Prebe and Allison Mitchell.

A graveside service will be held at the Whaley Family Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2022.
