Everleene Davis Futrelle

Everleene Davis Futrelle, 90, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at her home.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, A.W. (Ned) Futrelle; her first husband Alva J. Holmes and her parents, Jimmie and Kirleene Davis. 

Everleene is survived by her daughter, Dianne Holmes Canuette (William); granddaughter, Kimberly Canuette  Grimaldi (Kevin); grandsons, Kyle Canuette (Katelyn), and John Canuette (Cassondra); great-grandchildren, Lucas Canuette Grimaldi, Nolan Canuette, Charlotte Canuette, James Canuette Grimaldi and Adam Canuette.

The family would like to express gratitude beyond measure to her dedicated caregivers- Amber Shoup, Jessica Brown, and Ann Williams whose love and tender care for her were unmatched.

We would also like to extend that same gratitude beyond measure to Dr. Kimberly Grigsby-Sessoms, Deborah Carmelo, Jessica Thornton, and Teresa Carr of Gentiva Hospice-Sampson who helped us navigate the journey through this season of her life with dignity and grace.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill, North Carolina.  The family will receive friends after the service.
