Eva Mae (Branch) Jones

Eva Mae Branch Jones received her wings on Tuesday, December 7, 2021.  She was born on March 27, 1919, in Duplin County.  She was the daughter of the late Amos and Kate Branch.

She joined the church at an early age and was a member of Salem Chapel Church in Duplin County.

Eva was formally educated in the Duplin County School System.  She enjoyed her former school years and loved math.  She could figure math by memory as quickly as a calculator.

She met and married Odell Tom Dallas Jones and to this union nine children were born.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband (Odell Tom Dallas Jones), son Odell Jones Jr. and daughter, Eva Grace Jones.  To this union she leaves to cherish precious memories two daughters – Mona Lisa Jones (Mike) of the home, Pink Hill, NC; Jessica Jones Lyles, Kinston, NC; five sons, Nathaniel Eugene Jones, (Katrina), Charlotte, NC; Frank Branch Jones, Charlotte NC; Milton Montez Jones, (Francis), Raleigh, NC; Amos Andrew Jones, (Bertha), Apex, NC; and Robert Glenn Jones, (Keturah), Deep Run, NC; 26 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A wake will be held from 5-7 on Friday, December 10, 2021 at Pink Hill Funeral Home.    Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill.

The family requests that you please wear masks and refrain from hugging per COVID protocol.
