Obituary
Erma Rouse Smith, 72, of Pink Hill, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at UNC Lenoir. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Clyde and Erma Lambert Rouse, brothers William Paul Rouse and Clyde Lynwood Rouse, and sister, Opal Delores Rouse.
Erma is survived by her husband, Roger Smith of Pink Hill; sister, Annette Rouse Herring and husband Jeff of Deep Run; nieces, Brandy Davis of Deep Run, Lisa Rouse Daniels of Deep Run, and Bridget Rouse of LaGrange; nephews, Herman Davis, Jr. of Kinston and Clyde Lynwood (Sam) Rouse Jr. of Pink Hill and her special canine companion, Buckwheat.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 10, 2023 at Pink Hill Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill.
