Emmett Lee Taylor

Emmett Lee Taylor, 90 of Kinston NC, passed away on April 30, 2025 at his home.

Emmett was born on May 29, 1934, to Felix Ivy Taylor and Isabelle Carter Taylor in Lenoir County, NC.

Emmett was preceded in death by his parents, Felix Ivy Taylor and Isabelle Carter Taylor; siblings , Rosa Taylor Jones (Joe Jones), Kenneth Taylor, Grace Taylor Reeves (Fain Reeves) and brothers from his first marriage, Eddie Heath (Roberta) Gray Heath Sr., Billy Heath Sr., Doug Heath, Ken Heath Sr.; wife, Ann Heath Taylor and children Kendrick Lee Taylor and Emmett Russell Taylor and a Step-Daughter, Sharron Rochelle; grandchildren Timothy Randall Turner II and Shelley Hill Cates; nephew, Justin Jones and niece, Pansy Jones Chadwick.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Harriett of Snow Hill Memory Care, grandchildren Heather Taylor (Natalio) of Kinston, Kelly & Morgane Taylor, Clifton Hill (Aaron) of Greenville; adopted granddaughter, Dana Stanley of Kinston; great grandchildren Brittany Turner (Ethan Lamm of Rocky Mount), Lee Turner (Sarah) of the home, Bradley Turner and Amy Turner of Kinston; special daughters, Patricia Strange of Deep Run and Lynn Dixon of Snow Hill; nephews Vance Jones (Susan), Kenny Taylor, nieces Linda Jones, Debra Heath, Taylor Bielby, Sandra Daughtry, Cassy Smith and many more.

Emmett loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them.

Emmett Taylor will be laid to rest on May 2, 2025, at 11am at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston, NC. Visitation will be May 8, 2025, at Albritton Pentecostal Holiness Church 668 Tully Hill Road, Kinston, NC 28504 at 5:30 to 6:30. Memorial Service will start at 7pm.
