Elwood Jack Harper Sr.

Elwood Jack Harper Sr., 94, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellen Smith Harper; brother, Everett Vance Harper and grandson, Logan Wayne Sessoms.  Elwood was a member of Pleasant Hill Masonic Lodge #304 and Deep Run Original Free Will Baptist Church.

Elwood is survived by his wife, Pat Lang Harper; daughters, Charlotte Harper King and husband Warren, and Vickie Harper Roby; son, Elwood “Jackie” Harper and wife Christine; grandchildren, Ryan King, Hollie King Cannon, James Sessoms, Christy Flowers, Samantha Barton, and Sarah Harper; 16  great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at Pink Hill Funeral Home with Funeral Service following at 7:30.   Burial with Masonic Rites will be held at 2 p.m.. on Monday, August12, 2024 at Westview Cemetery in Kinston.
