Karen Hill, 68, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at her home. She worked at Duplin General Hospital for 25 years. Karen was preceded in death by her mother, Eula Mae Mercer Weston; brothers, Marvin Mercer, Charlie Marshall Mercer, Sr., Ronald Melvin Mercer Sr., beloved great-uncle, William “Bill” Jones and wife Tiffany.
Karen is survived by her husband of 52 years, Edward Vance Hill, Sr.; son, Edward Vance Hill, Jr.; daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Hill Brinson and husband Josh. She is also survived by her sisters, Catherine Sullivan and husband Larry of Mount Olive, Carolyn Mercer of Beulaville, Charlene Mercer of Kinston, Nancy Sensenig and husband Paul of Roseboro, and JoAnn Mercer wife of Melvin, of Beulaville; grandsons, Brody Houston of Richlands and Alexander Locklear of the home; and numerous nieces and nephews and special friend, Mary Beth of Richlands.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Sunday, November 6, 2022. Funeral service will be held at 11;00 a.m. on Monday, November 7 at Pink Hill Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at the Stroud Family Cemetery in Deep Run.
