Eleanor Ruth “Cricket” Byrd, 84, passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at her home.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy C. Byrd; parents, Sam Lee and Phronnie Lee King; brothers, Albert “Bill” Lee, Charles “Pidge Lee; and sister, Marie “Jenny” Rouse.

Cricket is survived by her sons, Danny C. Byrd, and Randy G. Byrd and wife Delores all of Pink Hill; grandchildren, Dillon Byrd, Aaron Byrd and Ashleigh Byrd ; and sister, Ruby Jarman of  Pink Hill.

Visitation will be held from 4;00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at Pink Hill Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 13, 2021 at Pink Hill Funeral Home with burial following at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill.

The family would like to thank two special caregivers, Debbie Hair and Rose Grant for taking such great care of their mother.
