Eleanor Grace (Stroud) Thompson

Eleanor Grace Thompson, 92, of Kenansville passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at  Vidant Duplin.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Marion F. Hobbs Sr. and Oscar Thompson Jr. and children, Gary Hobbs, Deborah Johnson and Tommy Hobbs; sisters, Dottie Thompson, Mary Ruth Dixon, Liz Smith and brother Ronnie Stroud.

Eleanor is survived by her sons, Bill Hobbs and Scott Hobbs and wife Gail and daughter, Loretta Kay Hobbs, 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren and one on the way: brother Lynwood (Tommy) Stroud and wife Dee and sister Molly Taylor and husband Brad; daughter-in-law Nadine Hobbs.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Pink Hill Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Pink Hill Funeral Home with burial following at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston, NC.
