Donald James Lamvermeyer

Donald James Lamvermeyer, 92, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023 in Pink Hill, North Carolina.  Don grew up in Ohio, working on his father’s apple orchards.  He loved sports, fishing and working on cars.  He enjoyed reading tech magazines and was elected secretary of the American Metallurgical Society.   But most of all Don enjoyed and was proud of his job working with NASA on the Apollo Space Program. 

He is survived by his wife Mary of 63 years; daughters, Nancy Little and husband Ed, Mary Ellen Lamvermeyer, and Kathryn Guild-Smith and husband Richard; grandchildren, Edwin James Little and wife Jamey Jones Little, Amber Little, and Kai Guild; and 4 great-grandchildren.
