Donald Duane Joyner

Donald Duane Joyner, 88, of Deep Run, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Kitty Askins in Goldsboro.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus Allen and Leafy Mae Joyner; siblings, Howard Joyner, Dorothy Cieliesz, Randall Joyner, Joyce Watts, Mary Carole Pierce, Gene Joyner, and Charles Joyner; his first wife, Jean Carolyn Joyner and their daughter, Donna Evans Joyner.

Donald was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Woodington Ward.  He was General Manager and Vice President of Servitex Inc., a member of Kinston Exchange Club and on the Board of Neuse Enterprises.  He was instrumental in getting handicapped accessibility for the Lenoir County Courthouse.

Donald is survived by his wife, Linda Rouse Joyner; son, Donald Duane Joyner II, and grandson, Austin Blake Joyner and wife Lyndsey.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm. on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at Pink Hill Funeral Home.  A Service to Celebrate Donald’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 16, 2024 at Pink Hill Funeral Home with entombment to follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill.
