Devin Blake Freeman

Devin Blake Freeman born on April 24, 2001, affectionately known as our blue-eyed baby boy in his younger years, 22 of Deep Run North Carolina passed away on July 25, 2023, after sustaining injuries in a car accident.

Devin was a curious child and asked questions about everything.  He wanted to know the answer for every simple and hard question you can imagine.  His brain absorbed every obstacle his eyes focused on, and he wanted to know how the flowers grew and what made the sky blue and white.  Devin had a way of making people feel better in his presence with the sweet compliments and loving nature.

Devin’s passion in life was not athletic and he quickly told us after two evenings on a t-ball field that this was just not his thing!  Devin did, however, grow a love for computers, electronics, and gaming.  He excelled at his skills in the gaming world.

Devin is a graduate of South Lenoir High School class of 2019.

Devin is preceded in death by his mother, Angelique Wyatt Freeman, a sister Alissa Hope Freeman, his maternal grandmother Annette Wyatt Bray, maternal grandfather Benny James Wyatt, and his paternal grandfather Dallas Leslie Freeman.

Devin is survived by his father Daryl Evan Freeman and a much-loved stand in mother Karen Lecia Davis of the home, a sister Taylor Jordan Freeman and her partner Sarah Lilley of Oregon, and his grandmother Chellie Lucille Gray Freeman of Deep Run, NC.   Devin is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at the Freeman Family Cemetery, 6555 Hwy 258 South in Deep Run, NC.

Visitation will follow the service at the home of Daryl Freeman.
