Clara Louise "Lou" (Rogers) Criste Obituary

Clara Louise “Lou Rogers” Criste, 65, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  She was preceded in death by her father, Will Rogers Sr.   Lou proudly served her country in the United States Navy.  She was a Registered Nurse and retired from Caswell. Lou was a member of Sandy Bottom Baptist Church.


Lou is survived by her mother, Mary  “Tiny” Rogers; son, Steven Criste (Samantha); daughter, Jessica Criste; sisters Dawn Rogers Moore (John) and Robbin Rogers Parker; brother, Will “Rock” Rogers Jr. (Debby); grandchildren, Aubrey Wilkins and Nyjah Streeter; and best friend and caregiver, Donna Sue Way.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill.   There will also be a Celebration of Life at Sandy Bottom Baptist Church on January 18, 2025 at 2 PM.
