Charles Kenneth Miles

Charles Kenneth Miles, 77, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at his home.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Janice Faye Miles, his parents, James and Louise Miles, and granddaughter, Christine Nicole Smith.  

He is survived by daughters, Cynthia Holmes and husband Robert of Potters Hill, Joyce Loftin of Pink Hill, and Dannah Drake and husband Glenn of Pin Hook, sister, Trudy Wilson and husband Ron of Columbia, SC, brother, James Miles and wife Betty of  Scaly Mountain, GA, grandsons, Christopher Robinson of Centerville, TN, Thomas Williams and wife Ashley Marie of Kinston, William Williams of Deep Run, Jonathan Nethercutt and wife Ashlie of Jacksonville, Michael Nethercutt of Durham, Patrick Kennedy and wife Bethany of Bulter, PA, Timothy Kennedy of Durham, Christopher Holmes of Newport News, VA, Jeremy Andrews of Jacksonville, Nicolas Couch of Potters Hill, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Charles was born in Norflok, VA.  He joined the Navy in 1965 and serviced in Vietnam where he earned the Bronze Star.  After being injured he was honorably discharged in 1969.  He then started his career as owner of a convenience store.

Funeral Services will be held at Pink Hill Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Tuesday January 3, 2023 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.  The funeral service will be on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 11:00 am with burial at Oak Ridge Memorial Park .
