Charles David Hawkins

Charles David Hawkins, born November 14, 1959 in Kinston, NC gained his angel wings on February 8, 2023 at Kitty Askins in Goldsboro, NC. Charlie was outgoing and lived life to the fullest. He loved joking with everyone and grilling out. Fishing was always one of his favorite hobbies. Family meant everything to him and he would help anyone who needed it. Charlie loved building things and doing carpentry work. He was one of the toughest people around. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents Murrill and Mae Hawkins, and his sisters Marion Hawkins and Henrietta Rissler. Charlie is survived by his wife Vanessa Hawkins, children David, Jeremy, Angel, Frankie, and Becky, step-sons Philip and Dylan, sisters Nina, Kathy and husband Linnie, brother Eddie and wife Rita, grandchildren Lexi, Keyli, and Brandon, special grandson Tucker, special dog Max, and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday February 18 at 3 PM at Pink Hill Funeral Home. The family will accept visitors any time at the home, 715 Lightwood Knot Rd, Deep Run.
