Catherine Faye Heath Harper, born February 22, 1941, died in her home at 4:08 p.m. on July 7, 2024 surrounded by her family, just as she wanted it. She is survived by her son, Joey Harper of Albertson; daughter, Junie Malpass and husband Terry of Deep Run; granddaughter, Morgan Malpass of Pink Hill; grandson, Jacob Malpass of St Marys, Georgia; brother Randall West ‘Hoss” Heath of Deep Run and several nieces and nephews whom she adored. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Woodrow Harper; mother, Myrtle Hill Heath; father, Melvin Heath; sisters, Edith Mae Deaver, Patricia Ann “Pat” Williams, Hilda Grace “Shorty” Stroud, Janice Heath (infant), and brothers, Norman Ray Heath (infant) and Kenneth Earl Heath (infant).
Faye loved her family and her church family at Piney Grove OFWB in Albertson with everything she had and was loved deeply by them. Anyone who knows her knows that she gave the best bear hugs. Even at her weakest, she could still snap you in half with her bear hugs. She loved gardening and flowers and could grow anything she wanted. Faye is the strongest and most stubborn person you would ever meet. She will be deeply missed by everyone who loved her.
Funeral service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July, 10, 2024, at Pink Hill Funeral Home. Visitation will follow the service. Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 11 at the Harper-Southerland Church Cemetery.
