Ashley "Shine" Stroud

Ashley “Shine” Stroud, Jr., 91, of Pink Hill passed away Friday, December 2, 2022 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Shine, as people knew him, was a retiree from Kinston Housing Authority.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Ashley and Donnie L. Stroud, and his loving wife of more than 60 years, Lottie Bell Malpass Stroud.

He is survived by his sons, Scott Stroud and wife Sheree Conway Stroud, and Rexie Stroud, both of Deep Run; grandchildren, Eric Stroud and wife Alexandria of Long Beach, NY, and Chad Stroud and wife Rachel of Fayetteville, GA; great-grandchildren, Ashley and Savannah Stroud of New York; and a very special and devoted sister-in-law, Margaret Stroud.

Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 11:00 am at Oak Ridge Memorial Park, Pink Hill, NC with J. D. Turner officiating.

Pink Hill Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
