Virginia Grant Jones, 83, passed away on Thursday, July 26.  She was a graduate of Seven Springs High School and East Carolina University.  She taught in the public school system for 31 years.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Neil Jones and son, Franc Jones.  She is survived by her sons, Chris Jones and wife, Teresa and John Jones and husband Marc Landau; daughter-in-law, Susie Jones; brothers, James B. Grant and Lynwood Grant and wife, Nancy; sister, Margaret Joyner and husband Earl; and four grandchildren, Matthew Jones, Jacob Jones, Megan Norwood and Christy Jones.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 30, 2018 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Pink Hill Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 30, 2018 at Pink Hill Funeral Home with burial following at Westview Cemetery in Kinston.
