Susie Q. Houston, 68, of Pink Hill passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Vidant Duplin in Kenansville.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ginger Lewis Ellis, parents, Retha Mae and Jones Russell Smith, Sr., father, RC “Robin” Harrell, sisters, Shelby Summerlin and Dinah McGuire, and brother, R.C. “Satch” Harrell.
Susie is survived by her husband, Ernest Houston, Jr., daughters, Karen Lewis Brown and husband Danny, and Bobbie Jo Miller and husband Jimmy, Jr.; step-daughters, Letha Ann Weatherly and Penny Allen and husband Michael; son-in-law, Bo Ellis; grandchildren, Anthony Reynolds, Justin Stanley, Brandi Stanley, Rachel Brown, Logan Brown, Blake Barwick, Wyatt Weatherly, Tyler Allen and Abel Allen; great-grandchildren, Jaden Reynolds and Athena Stanley; brothers, Danny Harrell and wife Joan and Jones Russell Smith, Jr.; sister, Peggy Creech.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Pink Hill Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Pink Hill Funeral Home with burial following at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill.
