Susan “Cookie” Murphy Turner passed away peacefully Friday, April 13, 2018.  The funeral services will be held Monday, April 16, 2018 at Pink Hill Funeral Home at 2:00 pm., with visitation Sunday night, April 15, 2018 from 7:00 until 9:00 pm.  Interment at Oak Ridge Memorial Park, Pink Hill will follow the funeral services.  The family will receive friends at the home of Marie White at 107 East Clay Street, Pink Hill.

Cookie was never happier than when she was surrounded by flowers.  She loved shopping for them, planting them, and caring for them.  She was a proud member of the South Lenoir class of 1966 and took great delight in planning and attending their class reunions.  She is predeceased by her father Chilton Murphy and step-father Lloyd Noble.

She is survived by her mother Suzanne Noble, daughters Marie Turner White and husband Daniel, Casey Turner and step-daughter Christy Pridgen and husband Stacey, two grandchildren, Turner White and Ella Grace White, two sisters, Penny Murphy, Chilly Murphy Kennedy and husband Timmy, brother Hal Murphy and wife Jennifer.
