Robert Leslie “Les” Turner
Pink Hill
Robert Leslie Turner, 56, son of the late George and Narcie Turner, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at UNC Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill.
Les was the Chief District Court Judge for the 8th Judicial District and an Elder in the Pink Hill Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Leigh Sykes Turner; son John Harvey Turner; daughter, Abby Lane Turner; sister, Helen Turner Heron and husband, Jack; brother, Macon Turner and wife, Peggy; mother-in-law, Carol Sykes and sister-in-law, Holly Sykes LaRoque and husband Walter.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, May 20, 2018 at the Briley Auditorium located in the Waller Building at Lenoir Community College. Visitation will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Guardian ad Litem Program, Judicial District 8, P.O. Box 68, Kinston, NC 28502.
