Mamie Taylor Turner, 78, passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern.

Mamie was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Nellie Taylor; husband, Clayton Whitt Turner; baby sisters, Thelma, Joanne and Nancy Taylor; sisters, Laura Coombs, Zaddie Adams, Ernestine Moody, Julie Mercer, and Jean Lotter; brother J.B. Taylor.

 She is survived by her sons, Terry Turner and wife, Kim of Pink Hill and Jerry Turner and wife, Denise of Ernul; sisters, Louise Wrenn of Dover, Beatrice Parker and Marie Powe both of Alabama and Grace “Bugs” Jones of Trenton; 10 grandchildren, Matthew Turner of Pink Hill, Ben Pollard & Sarah Pollard, Josh Arthur, John Arthur, Josiah Turner all of Ernul,  Josh & Danielle Davis of Deep Run, Samantha & Jason Cavanaugh of Ernul;  Stefanie & Howard Schamel of Hubert, Kelly & Ryan Tourville of OK, and Stephen & Kaitlin Bean of OK and 9 great-grandchildren, A.J. Pollard, Morgan Davis, Jamie Hulings, Susan Hulings, Kaylin Hoke, Bentley Schamel, Reilly Tourville, Gracen Tourville, and Easton Bean; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 27, 2018 at Turning Point Assembly is Pink Hill.  Visitation will be held one hour before service, from 10-11.  Burial will follow the funeral service at the Turner Family Cemetery, Watering Pond Road, Pink Hill.
