Leamon Edward Carlyle, Jr.

My Father, Leamon Edward Carlyle Jr., went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 19, 2019. He was born to Leamon Edward Carlyle Sr. and Shelba Ann Gutierrez in Lenoir County on December 10th 1964.

My Father was a very caring person behind his blank expression. He had been able to help and save so many lives with only conversation. He was a therapist and clinical director at Eastpointe. My Father had a Master’s degree in Social Work which he received at East Carolina University, he received both Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice at Wesleyan.

My Father was not only my Dad, but my best friend. We shared everything together from foods to jokes. He always saw the positive in the most negative situations. He always said that he wanted his name to be remembered for many years beyond his death.  He was loved in an immeasurable amount by so many that he will never be forgotten.

My Father was preceded in death by his Father, Leamon Carlyle Sr., his father-in-law, Milo Harper, and his best friend, Steve Maready.

Those he left behind to cherish his memory, his Soulmate of 33 years, Wendy Harper, Daughter, Emily Carlyle,  his Mothers, Ann Gutierrez and Jo Ann Carlyle, his Step-Father, Benny Gutierrez, siblings, Michael  Carlyle (Nikki ), Lisa Holland (David), Sherell Hamm, and Sherayne Meready (Bruce), In-Laws , Jerry Harper (Schuyler) , Donald Harper (Tandra) , Barry Harper (Cindy) , Kirby Harper (Lisa), Vickie Maslin (Bruce) , Patti Wethington, Pennie Smith ( Daniel), Valerie Wright (Craig), Gena Hallenberger (Michael)

He will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews.

He loved his extended family at port services.

Visitation will be at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 10 Am and funeral services at 11 am in Albertson , North Carolina, Tuesday July 23, 2019.
