Irene Clark Turner, 92, of Pink Hill, left her earthly body on September 30th at Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn, NC.
She was born October 22, 1925 in Dover NC to the late Ethel Alberta Lamm and William Evan Clark. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years Joseph Burton “J.B.” Turner, a grandson Joseph Turner, a granddaughter Betsy Diaz as well as her siblings: sisters - Annie Mae Rogers, Vera White, Nellie Hill, twin sister Pauline Seamster and brothers - Oscar Lee Clark, Willie Clark and Archie Clark. She was also predeceased by a son-in-law Reverend Dr. O. Harold Heath and a daughter-in-law Sibyle Turner.
She is survived by her children Iris Heath (Preston) of Dunn, Lannie Tyndall (Dempsey) of Pink Hill, Myra Heath of Pink Hill, William Burton “W.B.” Turner of Albertson and Ronald Turner (Mary Kathryn) of Wilmington. Mrs. Turner is also survived by her grandchildren, Connie Bradshaw (OJ), Gerome Heath, Woody Tyndall (Kelly), Wanda Harrell (Ricky), Wade Tyndall (Michelle), Ward Tyndall, Waylon Tyndall, Beverly Brown (Allen), Kim Butts (Dean), Janeane Miller (Tommy), Betsy Diaz- deceased (Benito), Caraleigh Pineda (Ismael), Joseph Turner, deceased, Crystal Lynch (Sky), Mary Turner, Ryan Willis (Laura), Eric Willis, deceased, Chad Willis; great-grandchildren, Luke Bradshaw, Joel Bradshaw, Christen Tyndall, Lindsey Tyndall, Caroline Edwards, Jonathan Edwards, Jennifer Harrell, Dustin Tyndall, Dillon Tyndall, Devin Tyndall, Josh Paul, Adam Tyndall, Matthew Tyndall, Trey Brown, Holly Brown, Richard Brown, April Butts, Nic Butts, Ashley Sholar, Koty Miller, Courtney Miller, Gabrella Pineda, Jacob Pineda, Matthew Jenkins, William Diaz, Joseph Diaz, Grace Lynch, Bella Lynch; 8 great-great-grandchildren, Noah Tyndall, Jayden Bradford, Braylen Tyndall, Braxton Matthis, Libbie Black, Daegun Tyndall, Daelin Tyndall, and Wesley Sholar; and several nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Turners Chapel PFWB Church and attended faithfully until her health declined to the point she could no longer attend. She worked at Beulaville Garment Company and American Field Manufacturers of Pink Hill. A wife, beloved mother and homemaker, she enjoyed working in her yard and flowers.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 2nd 6 p.m. until at Pink Hill Funeral Home and other times at the home on Watering Pond Road. The funeral will be on Wednesday, October 3rd at 2 p.m. with burial to follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. All services held at Pink Hill Funeral Home, Pink Hill NC.
