Estelle Smith, 89, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Kitty Askins in Goldsboro.

Estelle was a compassionate Christian woman who will be missed greatly by her family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Junior Smith; parents, Earl and Ethel Mae Byrd; brothers, Harvey, Thomas, Clarence, and Jimmy Byrd.

Estelle is survived by her daughter, Donna Hill and husband Neal; sons, Harold Smith and wife Lorraine; Mickey Smith, Woody Smith, Dempsey Smith and wife Peggy; sister, Sue Hill and husband Milton “Runt” Hill; brothers, Norman Byrd and wife Carol, Kenneth “Terrapin” Byrd and wife Jane; sisters-in-law, Betty Byrd and Cricket Byrd;  grandchildren, Brian Smith and wife Elaine, Christy Smith, Todd Smith, Lynn Willoughby, Sara Yowell and husband Seth, Melissa Castillo and husband Miguel, D. J. Smith and wife Dana, Clay Smith, Josh Hill and Allison Hill;  great-grandchildren, Jon Hoffman, Emily Smith, Lea Smith, Alaina Williams and husband Shane, Jonathan Willoughby, Jodi Whaley and husband Josh, Ben Yowell, Clay Yowell, Mikenzie Metts, Sullivan Castillo, Hillary Henderson, Kenly Long and husband Bryan, Bailey Smith, Damian Noble; and 3 great-great grandchildren, Hayden Rose Williams, Isaac Long and Brayden Willoughby; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Pink Hill Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 10 at Pink Hill Funeral Home with burial following at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston.
